Who Can Make a Complaint
Anyone whose telecommunication company is a member of the Telecommunication Dispute Resolution (TDR) scheme can bring a dispute to Telecommunication Dispute Resolution (TDR), but there are a few limits on what is covered:
- The person making the complaint must be the account holder, or authorised to make a complaint on that person's behalf.
- All complaints must have been made with the telecommunication company first, before they come to TDR.
- TDR cannot deal with a telecommunication company's Government or Business/Corporate clients.
- This service only applies to customers of companies that are members of the TDR Scheme.
- TDR can deal with complaints asking for compensation, but only up to $12,000.
People who use pre-pay cellphones can also use TDR.
