Simon currently holds a senior leadership role at the Commerce Commission, where he has led strategic change to strengthen regulatory effectiveness and organisational impact. He has also previously led telecommunications regulatory work and contributed to telecommunications policy internationally.
TDRL would like to acknowledge and sincerely thank Herman Visagie for his important work as TDRL’s inaugural Chief Executive. Herman has played a pivotal role in establishing the organisation’s foundations, building capability and operational maturity, and supporting TDRL’s Board and stakeholders as the organisation has grown and developed. We are grateful for his leadership and the contribution he has made to TDRL’s early development and direction.
Simon will begin his new role in mid-June 2026. We look forward to introducing Simon to members and stakeholders over the coming months.
Kind regards
Barry Jordan
on behalf of the TDRL Board
